Despite it’s size, the Acer Revo 100 has a powerful punch using an Athlon II Neo processor and Nvidia Ion graphics.

Over in the UK, Acer revealed an ultra-slim desktop PC that strongly resembles Sony’s PlayStation 2 Slim console, measuring just 300 x 180 x 25-mm. Called the Revo 100, the device is packed with a dual-core AMD Athlon II Neo processor and Nvidia Ion graphics, capable of pumping out 1080p Full HD.

According to Information Week, the Revo 100 is the first Acer product to be integrated with its proprietary clear.fi technology, an application that connects all Acer devices– PCs, HD media players, smartphones, notebooks etc– on a home-based network. by default it also comes with HDMI output, three USB 2.0 ports, a multi-card reader, Gigabit Ethernet, 2.4 GHz 802.11n, and two Mini PCI Express slots.

Acer’s Revo 100 also arrives offering a choice of different configurations, providing up to 4 GB of DDR3 RAM, up to 750 GB of HDD space, an optional TV tuner, various CPU clock speeds, and the choice of a DVD burner or Blu-ray combo drive. all models reportedly come pre-installed with Microsoft’s Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system.

Also included with the Revo 100 is a dual-mode wireless touchpad called the RevoPad. this device can switch between touch keyboard and multi-gesture modes, the latter allowing users to move the cursor, rotate, zoom in and zoom out as if using a touchscreen smartphone.

Currently the Acer Revo 100 pricetag starts around £600 (about $948). The release date for North America hasn’t been set according to an Acer spokesperson, so stay tuned.
