samsung laptop?
I have a samsung laptop that will not boot up dose anyone know if this means the hard drive is faulty
When i switch on my samsung P28 laptop the text on the screen reads
Operating System not found can any one help I have put in the system recovery disc and nothing happens i also have the driver discs

This might be a couple of problem. If you have the error message it gives that will really help.
1. It may be the hard drive, maybe is corrupt or your BIOS do not recognize your hard drive
2. It might be there is no OS (operating system), sometimes your hard drive may not detect any OS on your system.
3. It can also be your motherboard or your laptop fan.
Try to check all these before moving to the next step.

Unfortuantly this is not possible without the discs. You can order then direct from samsung however.

Sallam guys.. Was just wondering how long can Samsung laptops last for?? Want to get one!! Erm for example how long would the Samsung R540 last for or the Samsung NP-RV510-A02UK Laptop?? Thanks people appreciate the help and advice.

Battery will last about a year before it starts loosing power (the time you can use it will start to drop) and at about 2 years it will probably need to be changed.
That’s about the only downfall of laptops or net-books,
if it doesn’t fail withing the first year, it should be good for about 4-5 years before the hard drive shows signs of needing to be replaced.
It’s a pretty decent laptop for the price, not going to break any records, and you wont be playing much games on it, but it should handle 720p video and HD (but the image wont be high definition because the screen isn’t a HD screen resolution), you’ll be able to do things that aren’t too intensive on the laptop.
