The LG Optimus One is a perfect example of what cell and smart phones makers strive to release on a regular and timely basis. Among other things, people want convenience and reliability with anything electronic. It is a tall order to fill because all of that phone and feature power has to be very sleek and attractive. So it is not surprising at all for any business such as a cell phone manufacturer to give and take here and there. Here is our take on the LG Optimus One along with a discussion of its features.
Cell phone technology has advanced so far that smartphones like the LG Optimus are expected by consumers. The Optimus One does not have an all metal exterior casing, but rather it is plastic with some redeeming characteristics. If you are looking for something that is relatively light and easy to use, this is the phone for you. Regardless of the size of hands that you have, it will be very easy to find settings on this phone like volume control. But, we do understand it is very difficult to please everybody or address the anatomical differences with all people. This phone is very easy to use because of its size and construction regardless of who you are. Operating systems for mobile devices are still relatively new, and this phone uses Google’s Android software. The Optimus One comes with the most up to date version of Android, version 2.2. You will be pleased with the speed of browser loading for just about all of your normal online surfing needs. If there were to be any possible speed bumps, then there is one area to be aware of. In the absence of memory expansion, via the expansion slot, then you may find that graphics heavy pages will load slower. There is another possible concern with the processor used in the phone. The Optimus One has a 600 MHz processor which is fine for just about anything you need from smart phone browsing.
The touch screen on the Optimus One is integrated with the browser which is of very sound quality. Yes, the browser is solid even if it is not the very best you can find. But, with the Optimus One you can quickly zoom in either direction by pinching the screen. Auto-resize is a feature that works with zoom, and all that does is immediately change the text layout so you can read it still on the screen. We have already stated that a little more processing power would be desirable, and that is evident with heavy graphics websites. What will happen is the entire browser functions will become a bit on the slow side.
Those that purchased the original version of this smartphone will find the LG Optimus One a great improvement. Without a doubt, someone who buys this phone will be unhappy. The demands of flash programs on this particular processor will render them useless which will make some people not happy. As long and you can surf the web and call friends and family, you should be happy with this phone despite its inability to use flash.
